questions (that you may have) and respective answers

  • what are the white stairs?
  • see about

  • why whitestairs?
  • for me, it's something i can have a little semblance of "faith" in as i could never get into any other ideology; i connect with whitestairs so much because it's based on something that (mentally) happened to me. for you, it can be for anything. it could be for mindfulness, inner peace, self discovery, or even just something fun to think about. the thing about whitestairs is that it doesn't really require much effort to believe in. it's all in your head, so you can take it as seriously as you want to.

  • how did you come up with whitestairs?
  • i didn't neccessarily come up with it. the basic concept of the white staircase actually came to me in a dream. the basic synopsis of the dream was that i was climbing this white empty staircase that had kind of a "taking a shower" theme to it, with soap bubbles and water everywhere while Beatles music played in the background. at the top of the stairs, i had a choice. i could either go through the door immediately in front of me (which i assume meant that i would "wake up" or in otherwords just stop spacing out/dreaming) or i could turn right and go down a small hallway with another right turn. after these it was a small but kind of long tunnel where at the end i could sit on a ledge and watch myself as i was doing some task. we (myself) looked at eachother and soon after i woke up. this dream felt extremely eye opening and refreshing to me after waking up and i think that contributes to why i love this idea so much.

  • how would i go about practicing/participating in whitestairs?
  • there's a few things you can do! though do keep in mind that whitestairs is more of a mental belief, so most of these practices are just things that try to benefit you psychologically. firstly, you want to have some point everyday where you're completely relaxed. you can achieve this a few ways. you can meditate, which will no doubt relax you and has been shown to be extremely good for you. you can also just take some time to sleep, whether at night or during the day. sleeping is the easiest way for the average individual to become relaxed. having at least one point in the day where you're taking some time to rest can help you in the long run. also, just try and visit the website every now and then. you can check the message board for updates and the about page for new phrases. (in the future, check out some white staircase media, like otm or the literature gallery)

  • white stairs media?
  • yup! there's some sub-pages you're going to have to find on your own (or find from soneone else) that aren't listed on the main page. these subpages have the white stairs media. there's a few that are being created right now, and i think they should help to shed some light (or not at all) on what the white staircase experience was like. i'm not going to completely leave you in the dark, and i'll say there's definitely hints in the message board. so if whitestairs media is something you're interested in, try finding these sub-pages!
